Home Lab
Currently have a home network I am expanding as much as I can. I have replaced my consumer-grade router with a firewall I have recently configured, Vlans, an AP, and so much more in store as well. Can't disclose everything about my network, but I am setting it up so that I can practice in a home environment that is replicating a business. This gives me the ability to try practice both defensive and offensive security! I have been focusing lately on hardening, as this is a new setup for home, and it has been a blast! I enjoy getting to practice with my own environment and want to expand my abilities as much as I can! The best part of finally getting a firewall and vlans setup at home is being able to isolate IoT devices on a separate vlan (Can't ever trust those things). Currently for offensive security, I have a Kali Linux vm on Virtual Box to run my penetration testing lab. It is used for TryHackMe, Hack the Box, and bugbounty hunting! Some of the common tools I use are Nmap, BurpSuite, Nessus, Shodan, John the Ripper, metasploit, Recon-ng, GoBuster, and DirBuster to name a few!
